This llama won me a 50.00 voucher to World Market

Today was the first day I was able to be at World Market during store opening to participate in the Golden Llama treasure hunt that is happening now until November 22, 2017.

And I won the 50.00 card!

How they decide how you get is that your llama card will have a number at the bottom and that number de terms how much you will get. So, it’s not a first come, first serve type of deal.

So, since I already won.. I am out of the game for the year. One of the small print rules is that you can only win once. Also, you have to use the voucher the same day you win. So, keep that in mind. I used my in combination with the 40% off furniture deal going on this week to get a great deal on an end table (I ended up paying 13.00 for a 130 end table).

Here are the tricks I learned from today:

1. Read the clue before you visit: Go here

2. Be st the store at opening. Today, All the llamas were gone within an hour. In fact, there was around 30 people searching the store at the same time.

3. They are really hidden. You do not need to move furniture or anything like that but the staff at my local World Market brought their A game. One llama was hidden under a book and poking out from the end table, one was found inside a basket, one behind a trinket, and one tucked near the towels. You do not have to tear the store apart to find the llamas, but you will need to search in the most random of places.

4. They are in different sections of the store. This could vary from store to store but at my store, each llama was found in a completely different section. One was in bathroom, one in the left over Halloween section, one in furniture, and one in trinkets in the front. After the 3rd llama was found, I quickly figured out that trick.

5. Watch the Llama board. Staff are watching this game unfold and are tallying how many llamas are left. Don’t waste your time searching if the board (found in the front of the enterabce) has an X over the llama. That means it’s gone.

Also, this isn’t a tip to find the llama but more of a heads up.

If you find a llama, they will take your picture. I was wearing sweatpants and no makeup.. blah! So, if the idea of looking like shit on a promo photo worries you, then wear makeup and put some pants on.
