Get stuff for being born

In my early 20's I began a tradition/competition with my friends to see who could get the most free stuff on their birthday.

Generally, this includes going to bars and getting free shots by showing my ID and going to different restaurants and stores and getting free meals and stuff.

TBH, I still do this. It's fun, it's free, and you get tons of happy birthday wishes by complete strangers which makes me feel special.

So, if you want to start doing this for you and your friends, I am here to help. Here is my list of the best places to sign up for free shit on your birthday. Just click the name of the company to be directly sent to the sign up page.

Stores:

1. Sephora: You need to sign up for Sephora emails in order to get a birthday gift. Make sure you sign up at least a few weeks ahead of your birthdate. A few days before your birthday you will get an email offer that you can take to your local deal (JC Penny for me) to get your free gift.

This year I got Tarte blush and matching Lip color. It's a mini size but it can last for a few months. (my birthday was two months ago and I am still using mine).

2. Ulta: You need to sign up for the Ulamate Rewards to receive a free gift on your birthday. Make sure you keep the email subscription active on your account in order to get an email with the birthday offer. You cannot get the gift without the email offer.

Also, an extra birthday bonus is if you enroll for an Ultamate Rewards account and provide ULTA with your birthday (must go online and create an account using your phone number), you will receive 2X Bonus Points on all purchases in your birthday month. Platinum members will receive an extra birthday gift in addition to these gifts.

3. Bare Minerals: Sign up for the email and become a FAB member. On your birthday you will get an email for a free gift that can be redeemed at any participating dealer (Nordstrom for me).

4. Hot Topic: Sign up for a Hot Topic Guest List account and get a coupon to use during your birthday month (way better that those who only offer two weeks or less). This year I got a $5.00 off purchase coupon which I used on the buy 1 get 1 item for a 1.00 promotion at Hot Topic. For 10.00, I get a pair of shorts and a top! Also, no coupons needed.. just give them your phone number registered to the account. It's really that simple.

5. Disney.com: Sign up for emails at Disney.com and get 20% off a purchase online for your birthday. Kind of lame reward in comparison to the rest, but if you like Disney, it's better than nothing.

6. Gamestop: Enroll into the Power Up rewards program and get a free birthday gift. I signed up but forgot to add my email to the list, so I have no idea what the gift is.

7. Victoria Secrets: Enroll into the Angel Card program and get a free gift on your birthday. Just like the other birthday promos, you will get an email with the coupon that needs to be brought to the store. I got a free pair of panties this year!

8. Regal Cinema: Free movie admission when you sign up for Royal Crown Club. Also, you get free popcorn if you are enrolled into the text message subscription.

9. World Market: Sign up for the Explorer program and get 10.00 off a 10.00 or more purchase. Basically, free stuff!

This one if one of my favorite deals.. I got a 20.00 picture

frame that was on clearance for 9.99 for free!

10. Hallmark: Became a reward member and get 15% off purchase during your birthday. I am not impressed at all with this deal, so its a no-go for my freebie birthday.

11. Aveda: By far I think this one is one of the worst reward program deals because you have to pay to enroll. There is no way in hell I am going to pay 10.00 to get coupons and mini size of hair stuff on my birthday. This is a hard pass!

12. Benefit: Enroll into the Benefit Beauty Clique and get a free eyebrow shaping/wax on your birthday. Must have an ID to show it is your birthday week. Also, this cannot be done at Ulta! I had to find a Macy's with a brow bar to get mine redeem, so you might have to look around.

13. Ikea: Enroll into the Ikea Family and get a free meal and 15.00 off of 15.00 purchase coupon the month of your birthday.

14. Dave n Busters: Free 10 dollar game play coupon.

Restaurant and Fast food- a lot places give desert or a cookie with purchase. Also, b1 get 1 free coupons, which is nice but also kind of lame in comparison to other places.. so I am skipping them in this list.

1. Denny's: Get a free grand slam on your birthday. No email signup required. Just show up and let the host know it is your birthday. They do check ID, so make sure you have it.

2. Auntie Ann's: Must download their app and sign up for the Pretzel Perks. Also, I had to buy something to official enroll.

3. Del Taco: Sign up for the Del Taco club and get a free shake on your birthday. This is sent to you via email the month of your birthday. No purchase necessary.

4. Dutch Brothers: If you are lucky to have one near you, show them your idea and get a drink of your choice. No signing up or anything like that.

5. Sonic: Sign up for the Sonic rewards and get free tots on your birthday. Same as Del Taco, it comes in an email sent via your birthday month. No purchase necessary.

6. Red Robin: Sign up for a Red Robin account and get a free burger on your birthday.

7. Starbucks: Download the app on your smartphone to sign up. Get a free large drink on your birthday. Automatically appears in the app.

8. Baskin Robbins: Get a free cone on your birthday. You have to sign up for the rewards and the coupon is emailed to you.

9. Souplantation & Sweet Tomatoes: Join Club Veg and get a free meal on your birthday. Coupon is emailed to you.

10. Einstein Bros. Bagels: Join the club and get a free bagel and Shmear on your birthday.

11. Sbarro: Join the slice family and get a free slice of pizza on your birthday. Coupon is emailed to you.

12. Jamba Juice: Join the club and get a small smoothie during your birthday month. Just enter in your phone number at checkout and the discount automatically applies.

13. Buffalo Wild Wings: Join the Blazin Rewards via online or the app and get a free snack sized wings for your birthday month. You can only get the coupon via the app fyi.
